If you've been to a North/Frankford Thanksgiving Day football game in the past 4 or 5 years, you've probably seen the guys in the red flannel shirts who attempt to build a human pyramid at halftime. Well, some people truly believe that this group of NC fans are just a bunch of drunken rowdies. Let me tell you something about these guys. They are very serious and very diehard supporters of Northeast Catholic. As a guy who has known these flannel falcons for most of his life, I can tell you that they all bleed cardinal red (by the way, if you didn't know it, North's color is "cardinal" red. Don't get me started on that one). Anyway, to show how serious these guys are about North Catholic, they have actually organized themselves to put their money where their mouthes are and they are holding a fundraiser where all of the proceeds will benefit North Catholic. But, to top it all, they will attempt to break the world record for highest human pyramid. If you enjoy having a few drinks and some food with NC supporters, and you'd like to support their cause, and maybe watch some bones break before your eyes, click on the link below to see the details of this event.

HEY, MIKE IM A NEW READER OF YOUR SITE AND I ENJOY THE COMMENTARY ON FANS AND PLAYING FIELD CONDITIONS AND ALL BUT I WOULD REALLY ENJOY MORE COMMENTARY AND COVERAGE OF THE ACTUAL GAMES. STATS, HIGHLIGHTS, PROFILES IF POSSIBLE FOR VARSITY JV & FRESHMEN. I CANT MAKE MANY OF THE GAMES BUT LIKE TO KEEP UP WITH OUR GUYS ACHIEVEMENTS ON THE GRIDIRON..... I THINK MORE FANS FAMILIES AND PLAYERS, PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE WOULD LOG ON AND GO TO THE SITE WITH MORE COVERAGE ABOUT THE KIDS.THANKS FOR YOUR COVERAGE AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK....GO NORTH!!!! PS. SHATTER THAT RECORD FALCONEERS!!!!
We'll see what we can do. But, you have to remember that doing these type things requires a lot more work than one man can handle. If I had some help from either current students or faithful alum to track stats or take photos, it would be a lot easier. I have made appeals in the past, but my requests have gone. Plus, the team has a website where the coaching staff has the ability to write game summaries and such. They just have to use it. I created this blog to reach out to some of the alumni and hopefully get more asses in the seats at the games.
Thanks Mike for your information, I was not aware that the coaches have such ability and hopefully one from the many assitants for each team could jot down some info during the game to share with those of us who cant make all of the games. I think it would be very uplifting for the kids if they could read about their achievements as they go out to battle for the honor of North Catholic. Thanks again Mike for your coverage and I hope that someone who has the extra time on hand would reach out to you and aid with the highlights and stats of each respective team representing the Falcons....GO NORTH!!!
