MIKE McCALL - 2nd place - mike made it to the district finals only to lose again to lasalle's Casey Kent. Mike went 2-1 on the day with a forfeit and a fall.
DAVID DAVIDSON - 2nd place - david also took 2nd place, losing again to lasalle's matt cimato. david got the first takedown but one again gave up a reversal in the late stages of the 1st. cimato was able to get a takedown and backpoints to put david down big. david made a late rally but fell to cimato 8-5.
Eric Stankiewcz - 5th place - eric went 2-2 on the day in what was probably the toughest weight class in the tournament. eric was disappointed that he did not advance but im sure he will use this set-back as motivation to come back even stronger for his senior campaign.
TJ VAN HORN - DISTRICT CHAMPION - tj became north catholics first ever district champion. tj had 3 falls in the domination of his weight class. tj is wrestling extremely well right now and has his sights on advancing to states and winning a medal.
SHANE RAND - 3rd place - shane continues his successful run in the postseason with a 3rd place finish. shane went 3-1 on the day. he hit a sweeeeet headlock to win by fall in the consolation finals. shane will look to continue his run at regionals.
MATT DUGAN - DISTRICT CHAMPION - matt became north's second district champion with a 3-1 decision over lasalle's nick burns. the 3-1 win was not even that close. burns backed up and stayed away from matt who took the easy victory. matt is practicing well, is very tough to score on, and has one of the best shots in the state. he will be a tough draw for anyone in the regional tournament.
WILL TRAINOR - 6th place - 3 days before the tournament, will got a call that he was going to the district tournament. will wrestled hard but was not very sharp. he went 1-3 on the day to finish in 6th place.
KEVIN MALLON - DISTRICT CHAMPION - kevin is wrestling like a man possessed! he won by tech-fall, fall and fall. kevin dominated his finals opponent and pinned him in the first period. his attacking style makes it very hard for opposing wrestlers to think let alone attack and defend. kevin is determined to end his career at north with a state medal.
AJ VIZCARRONDO - 3rd place - aj continues his impressive freshman campaign with a 3rd place finish at the disticts. aj went 3-1 on the day. he still needs to attack and finish his takedowns. he is wrestling hard and keeps improving.
JERMEY REITH - 3rd place - jeremy, like aj, continues to improve every time he steps on the mat. jeremy is showing flashes of what is to come. he defeated a wrestler in the consolation finals that defeated him earlier in the year by a score of 4-0. like aj, he will gain valuable experience at regionals this week.

matt dugan and kevin mallon joined tj van horn in the 100 career list with wins this weekend. congratulation to all 3 wrestlers and good luck at regionals.....
