The 2009 Seasons

If you look closely, you will notice that I wrote “Seasons” above, as in the plural form of the word. The reason I write this is that once again this fall, this space will be used to update family, friends and fans of North Catholic sports with information about both the football and soccer teams.

Once again, I will be providing commentary, observations and some personal opinions about the football program. And, those duties for the soccer team will be handled by Tom “Super Fan” Crosset. We hope to provide you with some insight and highlights of the 2009 seasons for both of these sports. But, there is certainly no substitution for actually being at the games and seeing the Falcons fly in person.

Coming soon for the football website (www.NorthCatholicFootball.com) will include the 2009 roster and a coaches’ profile page. We’ll also be including a season preview sometime next week, so if you want to gain some insight into our 2009 campaign, the football site will be the place to go.

In addition to the features mentioned above, each week, we will provide a preview of that week’s game, as well as a summary after each game. The stats for the team will be entered on the Maxpreps.com site, and we are working to include a widget to display those stats on our page. This will allow us to only enter the stats in one location.

The first football game of the season will be on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Chestnut Hill Academy (11:00am). Come out and support this team as they begin their quest to reach the state playoffs and hopefully, a state title.
