FONECHS AND ALUMNI ASSOCIATION INVITE ALL STAKEHOLDERS (STUDENTS, PARENTS, ALUMS, FRIENDS OF NORTH, BUSINESS LEADERS AND INTERESTED STUDENTS AND THEIR PARENTS) TO A MEETINGS SCHEDULED FOR JANUARY 7 AND 14 @ 7 PM AT NORTH FOR AN UPDATE AND TO ANSWER QUESTIONS.
The Friends of Northeast Catholic High School (FONECHS)and the Alumni Association are conducting two information sessions about the Jesuit model called Cristo Rey. As you probably know, the Archdiocese approved this study to see if there North can remain viable as an independent school under the auspices of the Jesuit model called Cristo Rey. The first meeting is for parents and students - current and potential. The second meeting is for all graduates and interested parties.
This is the first opportunity for you to hear about the Cristo Rey program and get answers to your questions.
Session 1 – Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. sharp at North Catholic’s auditorium for parents/students and prospective students.
Session 2 – Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. sharp at North Catholic’s auditorium for graduates, interested parties, and those who could not make the first session.
On another note, there is a letter circulating authored by the President of North soliciting donations to send our boys to Judge. I find this letter troubling because our fate has not been secured one way or another. It appears that the salvation of the Order is more important than what is in the best interest of our boys. I find this self serving not to mention despicable because our first RESPONSIBILITY to our boys is to protect them and to put them in the best possible situations to succeed. This action is not what is in their best interest at this time. SAY NO TO THE LETTER AND MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD: NO SURRENDER!
Cristo Rey Update is Scheduled for January 7 and 14 @ North.
