NORTH OPENS CATHOLIC LEAGUE SEASON WITH A WIN!
Last night in front of a large group of falcon supporters, north dominated o'hara to the tune of 67-9. North used 6 falls and 3 forfeits to take down the Lions. Congratulations to Tad Meyers on his first varsity win. It was also great to see many of the alumni come out to the matches. Spotted in the crowd was Derick Wasnick (who when not running through town can be found at the memphis taproom) who was the man on the mat when north clinched its first catholic league championship.
North continues its busy week on saturday at the Abington duals. North hopes to improve on its 2nd place finish from last season. wrestling begins at 9am for the die-hard fans who are planning on making the trek to abington.
NEXT HOME MATCH - TUESDAY NIGHT - NESHAMITY
Our next home match will be this tuesday night at 7pm against Neshamity. Neshamity should have a pretty good squad this year and it should be a night of good, tough wrestling. We hope to see many of you at the match. We will again be collecting cans of food and old blankets and coats for the holidays. This is our last home match before the new year so we hope to see many of you there. There has also been some rumbling about the crowd that some of the alumni may be going out for some holiday cheer after the match....ill keep you posted....
